Hello

Internationally renowned Australian artist Chantal Munro, known as Chantal the Fairy, was a leading children’s storyteller and entertainer in Darwin for over 25 years. Credited with helping shape the city’s children’s entertainment industry, her vaudevillian-style performances have toured from Miami, USA, to remote communities in Australia’s Northern Territory. She was nominated for a Citizenship Award in 2000 and Businesswoman of the Year in 2005.

In 1998, Chantal published Face Art, which has since sold more than 80,000 copies worldwide.

Now based in Far North Queensland, Chantal completed her debut novel, TickleTouch: An Environmental Fairy Tale, written over 30 years while navigating undiagnosed dyslexia. Blending fantasy and magical realism, the story is written for young adults and adults who are young at heart.

Her work now spans storytelling, gardening, and cultural commentary, including A Garden Cookbook for My First Edible and Medicinal Garden and two candid books on menopause—Surviving the Change and The Secret Society of Sweaty Sisters—known for their honesty and trademark humour.
